Kawartha Downs will have some special guests in attendance for its live card of harness racing on Saturday, July 30
.
Trotting kingpin San Pail and trainer/co-owner Rod Hughes will be guests of Kawartha Downs this coming Saturday. San Pail will do a couple of laps of the racetrack for fans, and Hughes will also be on hand to answer questions trackside.
This past Saturday at Mohawk Racetrack, the seven-year-old gelded son of San Pellegrino became just the second horse to win three straight Maple Leaf Trot finals with a decisive 1:51.1 lifetime best, track record-equalling, stakes-record performance.
