Officials with Yonkers Raceway have announced an across-the-board purse increase, effective with the upcoming condition sheet for the race week that will begin next Monday (May 7).
The increases range from 10-20 per cent, depending upon the purse of the race.
Races going for less than $15,000 shall get the higher hike (moving the lowest purse from $7,500 to $9,000), while any race worth $15,000 or more will get a 10 per cent rise. Thus, the weekly Open Handicaps will move from $40,000 to $44,000.
