Our deepest sympathies to Kathy, family and friends during this most difficult time. Russ will be missed and remembered by many for his dedication to horse racing and representing the horsemen as a co-founder of NCRHHA. He fought valiantly, for the horsemen and his health. Remember Russ for the good things he has done for the racing community here at Rideau Carleton. As a co-founder of the NCRHHA and a sincere advocate for our membership, he stood up for each of us at a time when we needed representation. On more occasions than I can remember over the past 10 years, Russ put horsepersons issues first ... while fighting his battle with cancer. For that he deserves our utmost respect.

Kathy, I offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. You have a network of friends in this community. Please reach out to us in your time of need.

Sincerely,
Gordon McDonald and Chris Boland

I'm so saddened to learn of Russ's passing, and send my condolences to Kathy and family. I worked with Russ and Gord on the very inception of the NCRHHA. With OHHA threatening to sue us back to the stone age Russ always insisted that we push on. Everyone should know the passion and good spirit Russ had for the sport and his fellow horsemen was highly instrumental in creating the organization you have today. He will be missed.

Our deepest sympathy to Kathy and Family. We will all really miss Russ.
