The Ontario Racing Commission recently released details on rulings for standardbred appeals, including one for trainer Bill Elliott.

Elliott received a ten-year suspension and $40,000 fine back in 2008 for a EPO positive with pacing filly Michelles Power. Elliott appealed the ten-year suspension in June 2008 and the hearing took place last month. Not only was Elliott's appeal denied, but the fine was "varied and set at $60,000".

Reasons for the panel's decisions will be released at a later date.

The ORC also released the details on Dan Creighton's appeal with respect to the placing of Angostura in last month's Peaceful Way eliminations.

Links to the released rulings are as follows:

15-10-2009 8:41 pmIt's too sad the panel

It's too sad the panel doesn't watch the races and see what we see race after race, manipulated and self serving, why not electronically vote on these decisions let the majority decide, not the select elect. I challenge the decision makers to a live debate on television i will pay for the air time. there will be no response.
