The field for the $60,000 final of the Sobey's Gold Cup & Saucer has been drawn, as a field of nine pacers are set to do battle Saturday, August 20 at Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park

.

The Trial 2 winner, bay Dragon Again gelding Firethorn, has landed Post 2 for trainer Ronald MacDonald, how will again hand over the lines to pilot John MacDonald.

Trial 3 winner Blissfull Breeze, an eight-year-old Bilssfull Hall gelding, has drawn Post 3 for trainer Dean Nixon and driver Mark MacDonald.

Trial 1 winner, fellow Dean Nixon pupil Fleet Sensation, has drawn Post 6. The six-year-old How Fleet He Is gelding will be driven by James MacDonald.

Meadowlands To Offer Gold Cup And Saucer Simulcast Saturday

The Meadowlands Racetrack has announced that it will be simulcasting the Gold Cup & Saucer on Saturday night.

The full 15-race card from the Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park will be available for wagering at the Meadowlands, Monmouth Park and Favorites at Woodbridge.

The simulcast will begin at 6:00 p.m. with post time for the Gold Cup & Saucer for older pacers estimated to be 11:00 p.m.
