Driver Brad Forward went into Thursday evening’s program at Hiawatha Horse Park just three wins shy of hitting a major milestone, and it didn’t take him very long to hit his

target.

Forward clicked in Race 3 with Quite A Shock (1:57.1) and came right back to victory lane in Race 4 with Western Best (1:56.4) before becoming the newest member of the 4,000-win club thanks to a triumph with So Feminine (1:54.4) in Race 8.

Owned by Cassie Nantais of Windsor, ON and trained by Chris Haskell, So Feminine rallied to win by a half-length margin for Forward. Forward and Haskell have long been a force to be reckoned with across a number of Ontario racetracks, and fittingly they joined forces for the milestone win.

Forward, who surpassed $24 million in career earnings earlier this year, has banked in excess of $3.6 million in each of the last four seasons. This year marks the ninth consecutive campaign in which he has sat behind winners of purses in excess of $1 million.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering congratulations to Brad Forward on the 4,000th win of his career!
