Trot Insider has learned that Dial Or Nodial, who finished fifth in Saturday night’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup, was transported to the University of Guelph after suffering a leg injury.

Dial Or Nodial was favouring a hind leg in the paddock following his race, and was later x-rayed at the track to determine the extent of the injury. Pictures failed to identify the injury, but he was vanned to the University of Guelph for further x-rays and care.

The homebred son of Western Ideal, who is owned by Arlene and Jules Siegel of New Holland, PA, has banked in excess of $717,000 to date.

Trot Insider will post an update on the Jim Campbell trainee when more details become available.
