Trot Insider has spoken with Bill O'Donnell, president of the newly-formed Central Ontario Standardbred Association, and the Hall of Famer has given an important update regarding COSA membership

applications.

O'Donnell said that application forms to join COSA will be available at Mohawk Racetrack starting tonight. The crowds at the Campbellville oval are expected to be very healthy this weekend, especially with the popular $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup card set for Saturday, June 27.

COSA was officially announced Wednesday, June 24, and there has been much talk about it since.

"The response that we have had has been very good so far," O'Donnell told Trot Insider. "It was also a big shot in the arm for us for WEG (the Woodbine Entertainment Group) to come out and publicly endorse us. It shows that they have faith that we (COSA) represent the dynamic range of horsemen in the local area."

O'Donnell told Trot Insider that he is hoping for the applications to be in the race office, paddock and grandstand.
