Standardbred Canada will be sponsoring its three traditional mixed sales and one yearling sale in 2011

.

The Mixed sales kick-off with the Spring Fling Sale on Sunday, May 15, Summer Sizzler Sale on Sunday, August 28 and the Fall Extravaganza on Sunday, October 23. All entry fees for the mixed sales will remain the same in 2011 as in 2010.

The 2011 edition of the Canadian Yearling Sale will again be a two-day event to be held on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, 2011. A total of 320 yearlings will be presented in the auction ring. Any yearling entry received after 320 will be placed on an “also eligible list” and upon receipt of withdrawals those yearlings on the also eligible list will be entered in the sale. The 2011 entry fee for the Yearling Sale has been changed – the fee will be based on the selling price of the yearling. If a yearling sells from $0 to $10,000 the entry fee will be $800, selling price of $10,001 - $30,000 the entry fee is $1,000, yearlings selling over $30,000 will have an entry fee of $1,400.

In 2010, The Canadian Yearling Sale was the North American yearling sale with the highest increase in average and we look forward to another stellar year in 2011. All Standardbred Canada sales will be held at the SC Sales Pavilion located at Flamboro Downs in Dundas,
Ontario.

Entry forms for all 2011 SC Sales are available in the sales section of the SC website. For further information please contact the Sales Department at Standardbred Canada.

Why do we have two mixed sales less than two months apart, and then go almost 7 months without one? With the amount of horses around, I think there would definitely be enough interest for a February Freeze, or a March Madness sale.
