Trot Insider has received an update on 20-year-old driver Marc St. Louis, Jr. who was hospitalized last night after being involved in a racing accident at Windsor Raceway.

St Louis was driving Artic Blast for trainer Daniel Taneyhill in Race 5. The four-year-old Artsplace gelding fell at the top of the stretch after Grapevine Hill (driven by Duane Roach) had stumbled in front of him.

St Louis was catapulted from his race bike and hit the track. He was taken to hospital, but was released early this morning.

One of St Louis' close friends told Trot Insider this afternoon that the young pilot suffered a mild concussion and that he is very sore, but that he will be racing Saturday at Western Fair Raceway.

St. Louis -- who is a subject of an article in the November issue of Trot Magazine -- has driven in over 1,400 pari-mutuel dashes this season and compiled a record of 246-222-166. He currently sports a .300 UDR this year and has piloted the winners of $1,028,824 in the '08 campaign.

good to hear he's well. but if he's had a concussion take a week off not only for yourself but for the othe drivers safety. Post concussion can have an affect a few days after maybe the Judge's in Lonodon should keep an eye on that....

All the best to him thou
