Trainer Wayne Preszcator kicked off his New Year with a bang thanks to a perfect day of racing at Canada’s fastest half-mile oval.
Preszcator, who watched his troops win 55 races over the course of the 2008 campaign, went three-for-three during this afternoon’s matinee card of racing at Flamboro Downs.
Sandy Annie survived a parked out journey to win the fourth race in a time of 1:59.3 for driver Scott Coulter, who also guided White Sand to an 11-length score in a time of 1:57 in Race 10.
The trainer/driver duo also struck in Race 11 with Dangerous Years, who front-stepped her way to a 1:56 victory. All three horses are owned by Bulletproof Enterprises of Boca Raton, FL.
Preszcator currently sits with 537 lifetime victories and purse earnings in excess of $4.4 million.
