The Inside Track

Where would you like to see yourself in ten years?

Ten years from now I’d like to see myself as one of the top drivers on the WEG circuit. Known as a stakes driver, who’s good under pressure and in certain circumstances. I’d also like to see myself as the most money earning driver in North America.

Where did you get your love of harness racing? How did you get hooked on it?

I got my love of harness racing by growing up watching my dad, watching him come to the races. Just the fact that every time I saw him win I got pretty excited, that’s how I fell in love with it.

How many times have you beat your dad?

You know, I wish I could keep track. But seriously I would say it’s 50/50. Half the time I beat him, the other half he beats me. Though the best is when we’re coming down the lane and it’s just us, and we’re nose and nose, that’s probably the most exciting thing about driving against my dad.

Tell us about your fans.

I get to see them mostly on facebook, and hanging over the fences, I appreciate every one of them. When you get 20,000 people like at the Gold Cup and Saucer, and people are shaking your hand, it’s a thrill. I appreciate every fan I have.
