When Roosevelt Raceway offered trotter Thomas Atkyns and trainer Constancio Formia an all expenses paid invitation to the 1962 International Trot, the Argentinian horseman jumped at the chance. Little did he know then that the journey of his horse — and his son — would make international headlines when the pair mysteriously vanished enroute to the race of their lives.
