The Outside of a Horse

It's still hard for Kevin Harvey to say his brother's name out loud, even five years after the suicide. Kevin admits this, calmly, leaning on the fence at Allan McNeil Stables in Windsor, Nova Scotia. It's a perfect day in late September. The sky is blue and cloudless and the sun is warm; the horses stretch their legs, and the humans talk about death.
