Standardbred owner Edward M. Fitzpatrick, 64, of Lansingburg, N.Y., passed away on August 15, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital.
Fitzpatrick was a graduate of LSI, HVCC and Husson College. He retired in January following a long career in the insurance industry.
He was a lifelong harness racing enthusiast and Standardbred owner.
Fitzpatrick was a kind and caring man and will be truly missed by his family and friends. His compassion for children was particularly evident by the 50 kids he sponsored as a foster parent.
He is survived by his older brother, Frank; stepchildren, Darren, Todd, Brian and Jennifer Dunning; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
