Rideau Carleton Raceway officials have announced that the track will be closed the morning of Saturday, September 18 in order to accommodate gladiators of another type.

An Australian-Rules Football match will be taking place, and thus the reason for the closure.

Rideau will next host a card of live racing on Thursday, September 2 with a first-race post time of 6:30 p.m.
