The first three months of the 2015 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest are now complete with a number of major stakes for all divisions on the imminent horizon.
Rick Kalina of Strongsville, Ohio has jumped up the standings thanks to the selections of top earner Wiggle It Jiggleit as well as State Treasurer and Bee A Magician. Kalina's Bigrik Stable boasts $3,851,828, ahead of Jim Tupper's Hanover Shoe Farms stable ($3,650,568) and Frank Sernaglia's Gottabelucky stable ($3,601,958).
The Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 22 and December 31, 2015. For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2015 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2016 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
