Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino has sent out a release informing handicappers that there will be a guaranteed exotic pool offered during the track's Thursday (August 13) program.

With no winners in the Pick-4 sequence on Wednesday (August 12), a $5,493.69 carryover will jump-start a $20,000 Pick-4 guaranteed pool at Hoosier on Thursday (August 13). In partnership with the Indiana Standardbred Association and the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer the guaranteed sequence for races three through six on Thursday.

Wednesday’s Pick-4 saw three of the four winners pay double digits to win, most significantly by race five’s Shpillkeys, whom Ricky Macomber Jr. drove to a 32-1 victory. Macomber also capped off the sequence with Candys Desire paying $25.00 to win.

In addition to the Guaranteed Pick-4 Pool, the evening’s 12-race card will feature a $10,000 Guaranteed Hoosier High-5 Pool on the final race of the evening. Thursday’s action-packed card will be a precursor to Friday (August 14), as Harrah’s Hoosier Park will host the $225,000 Dan Patch Stakes. A field of ten top older pacers has been assembled for the 27th edition of the Dan Patch Stakes.
