Redraw For Battle Of The Belles, OSS Gold Elims

Published: July 27, 2012 04:18 pm EDT

Due to a race-office error, the elimination divisions were redrawn this morning for the Battle of the Belles and the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold eliminations for two-year-old trotting colts to be raced at Grand River Raceway on July 30.

In accordance with the rules of the Ontario Racing Commission, (#17.15 b) the redraw was a result of common ownership on two contenders in the same division of both races.

The revised entries are available here

Hopefuls on Monday night will compete for a berth in the finals of the15th annual $300,000 Battle of Waterloo; its companion race, the fourth annual $150,000 Battle of the Belles; and an Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) $130,000 Gold final for freshman trotting colts.

The top nine finishers for each of these elimination events will advance to their respective finals on Industry Day, the track’s annual horse racing celebration, on the Civic Holiday (Monday, August 6) at 1:30 p.m.
