Keppler, Sturman To VIP

Today, VIP Internet Stable LLC announced that Dean Keppler and Brett Sturman, who bring years of experience in horseracing, have joined VIP Stable as client service managers.

“The importance of VIP adding two professionals to work closely with our clients cannot be overstated," said VIP Stable’s co-owner, Tom Janes, via release. "We have always prided ourselves in providing the best customer service, but Dean and Brett will help take the ownership experience for our clients to a level never before seen in harness racing.”

DEAN KEPPLER

Keppler is the former director of DRF Press for the Daily Racing Form, where he orchestrated the organizing, creation, marketing and sales of over 40 horse racing titles during his eight-year tenure. He is a regular contributor to The Horseplayer Magazine and has authored several books including Trainer Angles and Betting the Kentucky Derby.

As a New York native, Keppler has more than 30 years of experience with both harness and thoroughbred racing. He's also contributed racing features for the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, Southern Gaming, Saratoga Special, and is a frequent guest on major syndicated racing radio shows.

Kepler resides in Yonkers, New York, only five minutes from the historic Yonkers Raceway (now known as the new and improved Empire City), with his wife Lou-Ann and son Matthew.

BRETT STURMAN

Sturman comes to VIP with years of experience in harness racing as an analyst, handicapper, and commentator that has written for a number of racing media outlets. He is a graduate of West Chester University and has extensive experience in business consulting and financial services in addition to his experience in racing. He is a native of the Philadelphia area and a regular at Chester Downs and the Meadowlands.
