The Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) would like to remind all breeders that they must be a current member and have a 2023 W9 on file at the SBOANJ office in order to receive any breeders or resident mare awards money.
New Jersey breeder awards, part of the state appropriation allocation, are based on 12 per cent of the purse amount earned by each horse finishing first through fifth in divisions and finals of certain New Jersey Sired races. Visit the SBOANJ website for the complete list of races.
The SBOANJ resident mare rebate is designated for mares who reside in New Jersey 150 days up to and including foaling. Include the U.S. Trotting Association foal registration along with application and send to SBOANJ no later than Oct. 31, 2023. Foal registration must be included with application.
Membership and W9 forms are available on the SBOANJ website.
Breeders and resident mare awards will not be granted to any breeders that are not a member of the SBOANJ or have not sent in their W9 forms.
