Monticello Raceway has announced that it has added a special race card

.

The track will have a special Sunday race card on June 12. On that day, the 'Mighty M' will present yet another industry first when the horses in every one of the 13 carded races will be driven by an amateur driver that holds either a full or provisional license from the United States Trotting Association.

The added Sunday program is being sponsored by the North American Amateur Drivers Association in conjunction with the Edward Weiner and Edward Yarock Equine Scholarship Fund and the Donald Meyer Equine Scholarship Fund.

During the special card, Dave Yarock, an avid amateur driver and the administrator of the equine scholarship funds, will present cheques to the award recipients that are children of harness horsemen. They will all be on hand to receive their awards.

Three divisions of the CKG Billings Harness Driving Championship Series will be among the 13 races presented on Sunday.

First-race post time will be at the usual 12:50 p.m.
