Trot Insider has learned that longtime horseman David Rose passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5
, 2012 at age 57.
Beloved husband of Susan (nee O’Brien) Rose. He is also survived by his mother Ruby T. (nee Feehan) Rose; brothers and sisters John (Jean), Bill (Marlene Clark), Danny (Debby), Margaret (Bob Huskins), Garry, Tom (Florence), Eric (Erma), Donald, Larry (Reta) and Rhonda (Mike Redmond); brothers and sisters-in-law Norman (Ellen) O’Brien, Sherry (Chris) Cameron and Glenda (Ken) MacDonald. He was predeceased by his father, John S. Rose; brother, Kenny; sister, Mary; and his parents-in-law Donald and Bernice O’Brien.
Visitation will be from hours on Tuesday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Wednesday, May 9, then transferred to St. Andrew’s Church, Mount Stewart, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre or the Home Care-Palliative Care.
