Trot Insider has learned that horseman Greg Darnell, who used to drive at Western Fair, Woodstock Raceway and Dresden Raceway, passed away Tuesday, April 29 at the age of 54.
Darnell, who passed at the London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ont., will be lovingly missed by his mother, Betty Bathgate (Bud); and sister, Cyndy Hardy (JT Hardy). Greg is survived by his nieces, Sarah and Sophie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to send a special ‘thank-you’ to the doctors, nurses and staff at LHSC University and Victoria Hospitals.
Cremation and a private family service have taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham Funeral Service.
