Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park is responding to increased horse population on P.E.I. by adding an additional race date on Thursday, May 11. Post time is 6 p.m.
Due to private functions previously booked, the Top of the Park and Grandstand will not be open to the public. Guests can enjoy service at Turf’s Bar & Grill and Red’s Gold Cup Lounge.
The legendary oval kicks off the spring meet on Saturday, May 6 at 6 p.m. with a 15-dash program. Qualifiers will be held earlier in the day at 1 p.m. Opening night features Isle Pick 5 with $1,500 guaranteed pool presented in part by the P.E.I. Harness Racing Industry Association, two Super Hi-5s and late Pick 4 with low 15 per cent takeouts.
