Tattersalls Sales Co. is now accepting entries for its Meadowlands July Mixed Sale, to be held on Sunday, July 17, the day after the $1-million Meadowlands Pace.

This year the sale returns to its usual spot on the calendar after moving to Hambletonian week last summer.

"Like everyone in the business, we're happy that things seem to be moving in the right direction at the Meadowlands, thanks to the efforts of Jeff Gural and his partners," said Tattersalls Sales Co. Sale Manager Geoffrey Stein. "There's a sense of renewed optimism in the industry, and there's no question the racehorse market continues to be strong. In my opinion, the Meadowlands still offers the best marketplace for those racehorses.

"With plenty of terrific racing opportunities for horsemen there and in New York, Pennsylvania and Ontario, we expect to have another very strong sale."

Entries for the July Mixed Sale will close on June 10.
