Glidemaster's Book Full And Closed

As of Thursday, March 3, the 2011 book for Glidemaster is full and closed, according to Brittany Stallion Management's Art Zubrod

.

Glidemaster, the World Champion as a two-year-old and Triple Crown winner and U.S. Horse of the Year at three, has been booked full each year since he first entered stud in 2007.

"Glidemaster closed out his freshman year as a sire on a very high note," said Zubrod. "He sired Canada's O'Brien Award-winning freshman colt in Blue Porsche (2,1:54.1– $405,661), who won the Valley Victory in record time, and a Pennsylvania Sire Stakes champion colt in Not Nice (2,1:56.3f–$194,028). I suppose that success led to another very good reception among breeders, as he's got some terrific mares lined up again this year."

Zubrod also pointed out that the young stallion's early success came from a limited first crop of just 49 foals, from which there were eight sub-2:00 winners and the earners of nearly three-quarters of a million dollars. He was 2010's leading first-crop percentage sire of 2:00 two-year-old trotters.

"His second foal crop (two-year-olds of 2011) was just a bit larger, and the training reports we've been getting on those current two year olds have us excited about the coming stakes season," said Zubrod. "We can hardly wait."
