The third edition of the London Classic Yearling Sale (LCYS) is slated to take place on Oct. 15 & 16 this year at the Western Fair District Agriplex and entries are now being accepted.
A total of 284 yearlings went through the ring in 2023 with gross sales of $7.584 million and a sales average of just shy of $27,000. A pair of $200,000 yearlings – D A Lets Boogie and Gridiron Seelster – topped last year’s sale.
Well-known London sale graduates include recent O’Brien Award winners Stockade Seelster and Logan Park, who both joined harness racing’s millionaire’s club in 2023. This year’s offering is expected to include yearlings from the highly-anticipated first crop of world champion Bulldog Hanover and offspring of exciting new Ontario stallion Cattlewash.
The LCYS is a selected sale format and will once again be held over two days with yearling showings taking place on Monday, Oct. 14. Entries can be submitted at the new London Classic Yearling Sale website. The deadline for entries is Monday, April 15.
