Trot Insider has learned that horseman Joseph Dewey McLeod of Arkell, Ont. passed away quietly with family members at his side on Wednesday, February 6 at the age of 78.
Originally from Charlottetown, PEI, Dewey was a true fan of standardbred racing.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gilchrist and McIntyre Chapel, 1 Delhi St. Guelph, Ont.
Funeral mass will take place at St Joseph church, 409 Paisley Rd, Guelph, Ont. at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 11. Reception to follow at church.
