It has been announced that Kenny Arsenault, Jody Jamieson, Brent MacGrath and Phil Pinkney will be among the guest speakers at the upcoming PEI Horse Industry

Symposium.

The event, which will be held at the Dutch Inn, Cornwall, PEI, February 26 and 27, is a joint effort of the PEI Department of Agriculture, PEI Harness Racing Industry Association, PEI Draft Horse Association, and the Island Horse Council, and is open to all participants in the horse industry in the province.

“We are delighted that individuals of this stature have agreed to be part of our program,” stated Tom Clark, on behalf of the organizing committee. “This event will bring together all segments of the horse industry within the province, and will provide a special opportunity to learn with and from each other.”

The discussion will be followed by a panel on successful owner partnerships, which includes Arsenault, Pinkney and MacGrath, along with local owners Mike Campbell and Peter Smith.

Sessions on Saturday, February 27 will feature noted Ontario farm manager Doug Nash, Blair Keeling of Master Feeds, draft horse owners Troy Thomas, Wesley Hayward and Lloyd Langille, as well as numerous local veterinarians, horse owners, business representatives and industry leaders.
