On Friday, Feb. 2, Standardbred Canada (SC) elected its Officers and Executive Committee for 2024.
Blair Corbeil of Leduc, Alta. was elected as the Chair of Standardbred Canada. Corbeil will serve his first term as SC Chair after previously serving on the Executive Committee.
The President and Owner of Superior Buildings, Corbeil manages the daily operations of his construction company. He's also the President and Owner of Bedrock Training Centre, while also managing a stable of approximately 65 racehorses under the care of trainers in three Canadian provinces as well as the U.S.
Corbeil also owns a number of broodmares located in Alberta, Ontario and New York.
Guillaume Cayer-Richard returns as the Chair of the Breeders Committee and will also serve as the Vice-Chair of Standardbred Canada's Board.
The 2024 Executive Committee was also elected to serve a one-year term.
