The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) annual meeting scheduled for Nov. 16 at 3:30 p.m. will now be conducted via live stream on Facebook.
According to a notice from the SBOANJ announcing the change to the meeting format, health issues and business commitments will prevent some of its directors from attending the meeting in person.
"We understand the importance of the annual meeting and this will better allow for full board participation," said an SBOANJ spokesperson. "The directors will be available to answer any questions you may have via Facebook live streaming."
Members can log on to their Facebook and go to the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of NJ Facebook page.
Walk in votes (up to one hour before the meeting) will now be taken at the SBOANJ office. SBOANJ accountants will count the votes in the office and will announce the results at the start of the meeting.
