Western Fair Raceway will be hosting the first leg of the Xtreme Enduro Series for claiming trotters this Tuesday, October 26, and the field has been drawn
.
Fourteen trotters will square off for a purse of $7,000 in the mile-and-a-half dash which has been carded as Race 12 (post time 6:56 p.m.).
Eight-year-old Inquirer gelding Sam Nelson (PP6, A. Carroll, 3-1) has been installed as the morning line favourite, while Mr Martin (PP3, D. McNair) and Northern Gaylord (PP12, J. Plante, 9-2) are the second and third early selections, respectively.
Horses 1 through 7 will put their noses to the gate during the tilt, while horses 8 through 14 will start on the trailing second tier.
The second Enduro event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3 at Flamboro Downs. The third Enduro event will take place Tuesday, November 9 at Georgian Downs.
Horses will earn points towards the $20,000 championship, which will take place Tuesday, November 16 at Georgian Downs.
