The Raceway at The Western Fair District will honour its top performers from 2011 during the annual awards night celebration, which is slated for Saturday, February 25 in the Carousel Room of the track.

The fun-filled night, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner, awards and dancing, will commence at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person or $280 for a table of eight and can be purchased through Marketing Co-ordinator Sarah Imrie at 519-438-7203 (ext. 320) or by email at simrie@westernfairdistrict.com.

The top driver by wins for 2011 at The Raceway was Trevor Henry with 156 victories while Paul Taylor was the leading trainer with 30 wins to his credit. Both will be honoured, along with the top equine performers in each category.

The Raceway is now operating on its new four-day-a-week live racing schedule with programs each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:05 p.m. and Friday nights at 7:05 p.m. For more information, visit www.westernfairdistrict.com.
