On Monday, January 19, the Woodbine Entertainment Group announced the newest location to join the Champions Off-Track Betting network.
The newest site to partner with Champions is Galaxy Lanes, located at 636 West Arthur Street in Thunder Bay. The grand opening is set for Saturday, January 24 when horseplayers will be offered a number of incentives such as free racing programs, great food specials and wearable giveaways. Customers will also have a chance at $100 ‘Daily Instant Win’ prizes.
The multi-faceted venue equipped with a bowling centre and restaurant will give horse racing fans the chance to cheer on their favourite Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses in the Galaxy Lounge. Horseplayers and new fans are welcome to watch and wager on racing from tracks across the world including Woodbine and Mohawk.

In April 2014, WEG was named the single operator of Teletheatres in Ontario. This has allowed a consolidation of all the provinces off-track operations under WEG’s Champions Off-Track Betting label.
