Century Mile Racetrack and Casino has cancelled its live harness racing card scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19.
Century Mile announced the cancellation on Tuesday afternoon via its social media channels and stated that, "The cold weather conditions prevented the horesemen and our equine athletes from training and properly preparing for the race day. The safety of our horsemen and horses are our top priority."
The Edmonton, Alta. racetrack indicated that, as of Tuesday afternoon, racing is scheduled to proceed on Saturday, Jan. 20.
