According to reports from Europe, trotting stallion Broadway Hall has been euthanized at the age of 23 in Finland, where he was residing after standing stud for two years in Sweden.

Bred in Kentucky by Walnut Hall Limited, the son of Conway Hall-B Cor Tamgo was undefeated in nine starts on the racetrack, earning $583,762 as a two-year-old in 2002 for trainer Jim Campbell and Fashion Farms LLC, before going on to have a successful stallion career.

Among his victories were the elimination and final of the Breeders Crown at Woodbine Racetrack as well as the Bluegrass Stakes, Kentucky Sire Stakes and Lexington Breeders Championship. He received the Dan Patch Award as the Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in the United States.

Prior to being sold and exported to Sweden in 2017, Broadway Hall sired 557 North American starters with progeny earnings of more than $43.68 million. His offspring includes Hambletonian champion Broad Bahn ($1,553,211) and Oaks winner Broadway Schooner ($895,130), along with millionaires Action Broadway ($1,092,339) and Pilgrams Taj ($1,006,203).

Reports from Europe indicate Broadway Hall was euthanized due to cataracts.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Broadway Hall.
