The 2009 Morrisville College Yearling Sale took place on Sunday in Morrisville, New York with 229 youngsters going under the hammer.

Topping this year’s auction was the Conway Hall-Dixie Crystal filly, Temper Of Will. The youngster, who was consigned by Lake View Equine, was purchased by George Ducharme of Norfold, MA for $51,000.

The filly is a full sister to the NYSS star RC Serpent, who has put together a 5-1-1 record in this year’s freshman campaign. He owns a 1:58.1 mark taken at Tioga Downs, and his bankroll stands at $113,953.

The sale average for this year’s Morrisville College Yearling Sale was $8,477, a decline from last year’s average of $10,744.
