Spring Survivor Online Handicapping Contest

The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club has organized a Spring Survivor online handicapping contest for the Canadian cards of racing slated for Saturday, April 22.

The contest will feature select races at five different tracks across the country including Fraser Downs, Century Downs Racetrack & Casino, Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park, Flamboro Downs and Mohawk Racetrack.

The challenge for the Spring Survivor contest is to select one horse for each of the chosen contest races. Beginning with the race that goes postward first that day, your horse must come in first, second or third for you to stay alive (survive) and advance to the next contest race. As long as your selections finish first, second, or third, you are “alive” in the contest. Failing to do so eliminates you from the contest and gets you ‘kicked off the island’. The last person to stay alive will be named the ultimate survivor champion.

Here is a list of the racetracks, approximate post times and chosen contest races for the Spring Survivor contest. The contest closes at 1:00 p.m. (EST)

• Century Downs Racetrack & Casino – 1:10 p.m. (3:10 p.m. EST)
  Races 1 & 2 (3:10 & 3:30)

• Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino – 12:45 p.m. (3:45 p.m. EST)
  Races 3 & 4 (4:25 & 4:45)

• Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park – 6:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. EST)
  Races 5 & 6 (6:30 & 6:40)

• Flamboro Downs – 6:00 p.m. EST
  Races 7 & 8 (8:00 & 8:20)

• Mohawk Racetrack – 7:30 p.m. EST
  Races 9 & 10 (10 & 10:30)
