A pair of streaking performers took home weekly bragging rights in their respective Preferred events at Flamboro Downs on Sunday evening.

El Toro Grande chalked up his fourth consecutive victory when he stepped to a 1:54.3 triumph in the $16,800 Preferred Pace for trainer Anthony Montini and driver Anthony Haughan.

The five-year-old son of The Panderosa successfully rallied from off-the-pace to score the victory over XLB Patrick and C Ws Special.

Claimed for $40,000 by owner George Anthony of Fort Lee, NJ, El Toro Grande has put together a 10-3-3 record from 33 starts this season. That's good for seasonal earnings of $107,818 and a career haul of $204,669.

Indiana Hall front-stepped his way to his second consecutive victory in Flamboro Downs' Preferred Trot, touring the half-mile oval in a time of 1:57 for trainer Garry Merner.

The five-year-old gelded son of Striking Sahbra whacked out a wild opening quarter clocked in :26.3 before idling down his speed for driver Paul MacKenzie through middle splits of :56.2 and 1:26. He only need a :31 second final frame to hold on for the half-length decision.

New Dice Please, who is well-known for his front-end skills, used off-the-pace tactics to grab the runner-up award. Locofoco N rallied to finish third.

Sent off at odds of 6-1, Indiana Hall got his picture taken for the fourth time this season and for the 21st time in his career. The gelding, who is owned by S S G Stables of North Boston, NY, has banked $379,461 to date.
