Today in an article published in The Toronto Star, Dave Perkins has mentioned the name John Campbell while discussing potential candidates for Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.

Perkins states that when asked whom would be a perfect addition to Canada's illustrious Hall, his readers indicated that they thought 'Mr. Harness Racing' John Campbell would be a perfect fit.

Perkins explains that a list of names makes it to a selection committee, but the powers that be generally prefer adding athletes that are retired. He notes that individuals with landmark achievements are increasingly eligible.
