The 2010 season was a productive one for Andover America considering he went 18-for-33, and it’s been more of the same in 2011 for the six-year-old

son of Andover Hall.

On Tuesday night at Mohawk Racetrack, the gelding captured the $35,000 Preferred Trot for driver Mario Baillargeon, and in doing so he improved to 8-for-19 on the season.

Andover America got away fifth in the six-horse affair while Canbec Fridolin and Frenchfrysnvinegar went toe-to-toe to the quarter pole in a :27-second clip. Frenchfrysnvinegar eventually cleared to the top, and she proceeded to roll the field to the half in :56.1. She was prompted by Canbec Fridolin to the three-quarter pole in 1:25.2, and that final turn tussle took it’s toll on both of them and left the door wide-open for Andover America who used a :27-second closing quarter to win by 3-1/2 lengths. Celebrity Cowboy was second, with Blacktuxwhitesocks finishing third.

Ben Baillargeon trains the photogenic performer for MC Trade Enterprises Inc of Davie, FL. The 37-time winner increased his lifetime earnings to $386,421 with the victory.
