Pick 5 Carryover Slated For Monday At Yonkers

Published: September 3, 2022 10:54 pm EDT

Saturday night's (Sept. 3) Pick 5 sequence at Yonkers Raceway was not hit, largely due to a 32-1 upset by Cantstoplying, driven by Brent Holland for trainer Paul Stafford and owner Thomas Ceraso Jr., in the eighth race.

As a result, on Monday night's (Sept. 5) card, there will be a $2,668.22 carryover in addition to the usual $10,000 guaranteed pool in the wager.

The guarantee in the Pick 5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick 5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available at the USTA website. The Pick 5, which begins in race five, has a takeout rate of 20 per cent.

Monday night’s 11-race program will also have a carryover of $1,080.46 in the Pick 6 starting in race three.

Yonkers is currently operating on a Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday live racing schedule with post time each night at 6:55 p.m.
