Sombrero Blue Chip, with Mike Stevenson in the bike, won the Sunday afternoon feature at Red Shores Summerside in 1:56 flat for owner Jennifer Trainer of Vernon River, PEI

Stevenson sent Sombrero Blue Chip, who was sent off as the post time favourite, to the front off the gate and cruised through fractions of :28, :57 and 1:26.3 to secure the gelding's second win in a row and sixth victory on the season for trainer Darren Trainer. Rich Raider was second with Blue Meadow Willie third.
Everything Zen's extended his winning streak to six in a row thanks to a 1:58.4 score in her $1,300 conditioned assignment. The Mitch Tierney stable star survived a first-over trip for driver Corey MacPherson en route to winning by 2-1/4 lengths. The mare’s has put together a 12-for-36 record this season.

Matinee Championship Finals At Summerside
Jimmy MacMillan put on another driving clinic on how to rate a mile at the Matinee Championship finals at Summerside Raceway on Sunday afternoon, as he won three of the four races.
In the Department of Agriculture trophy race, he circled the field past the half with Jennifer and Robert Parsons' Miller Miller and hung on for the win despite a late charge by Ryan DesRoche aboard the Parsons' Sammys Luck.
MacMillan won the first race with Ivan MacMillan's Camillion and the third with another Parsons horse, Aria Aria.
Brandon Darrach and Rags To Britches played the role of spoilers in the second race, as they prevailed from a hard-fought stretch battle to record a win owners Rick and Nancy Dunville.
