Tajmeallover 'Fourpeats' In Mares Open

Commandeering the field before the half, Tajmeallover strolled to her fourth-straight win in the $9,000 Filly and Mare Open, winning in 1:54.4 as the 3-5 favourite on Saturday, September 2 at Century Downs.

Showtime Terror led past the quarter in :28.4 while Tajmeallover sat third behind pocket-sitter Divas Dragonfly. Brushing to the lead past the stands, Tajmeallover remained in front and unchallenged through fractions of :57.2 and 1:25.4 before kicking clear by two-and-three-quarter lengths at the wire. Showtime Terror finished second, while Divas Dragonfly chased in third.

A six-year-old mare by Tajma Hall from the As Promised mare Watch Over Me, Tajmeallover won her ninth race in 15 starts this season and her 38th race in 67 starts overall. Owned by Jean Francois Gagne, Peter Van Seggelen, Carl Warnaar, and Tapron Holdings Ltd., trained by Marojorie Dumont, and driven by Jean Francois Gagne, she returned $3.50 to win.
