Ever Heard Of A Track ‘Collector’?

Multiple stops at various racetracks is par for the course for horsepeople. Although, how many people in the racing industry can say that they have made stops at over 300 tracks?

An article by the Tri-Valley Dispatch shines the light on a handful of racetrack ‘collectors’ that travel around visiting as many raceways as they can.

In addition to a pair of friends that take their passion rather seriously, the report quotes Tom Miscannon, a track collector that has been to 16 countries and has visited 340 different tracks during his travels.

“I had an extended stay in Belgium, and I decided to try and hit all the racetracks while I was there,” Miscannon was quoted as saying. “From then on, wherever I went, I would seek out the local track.”
