Four horses crossed the wire in tandem on Saturday during the $12,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Fraser Downs and once the dust settled fans were treated to a 19-1 surprise

.

Favourite Im Bossy and driver Darren Howald took control of the field of six right from the word “go” and carved out moderate panels of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:27 while Modern Legacy, with Gord Abbott, filled the pocket and Judges Acenthehole and Jim Marino was positioned third. Once Im Bossy entered the stretch, the field sprung into action. Judges Acenthehole sprinted home in :28.1 to win in 1:56 by a neck on the far outside. Second Fancy and Glenn White, moved first-up at three-quarters to come on for second with Modern Legacy finishing a half length behind at the rail in third over Im Bossy.

Returning to B.C. from a summer of racing at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California, Judges Acenthehole, a five-year-old daughter of Aces N Sevens-Stahaken, scored her second win of the year in 21 starts. Marino, who scored a driving hat trick on the 12-race card, trains the winner of 17 races and $161,679 lifetime for owner Kalla Judge of Cobble Hill, B.C.
