New Jersey Classic Yearling Sale Complete

Banging The Drum topped the 2010 New Jersey Classic Yearling Sale, which was held on Sunday afternoon at the Horse Park of New Jersey in Allentown, N.J.

A total of 246 yearlings were consigned to the sale, with 240 of them going under the hammer. When the hammer fell on the last yearling, the sale average worked out to be just over $6,000.

Topping the auction was Banging The Drum, a bay colt by McArdle. The youngster, who was consigned by Winbak Farms, was purchased for $37,000 by Josh Green of Delaware.
