War Cry Ranger was clearly firing on all cylinders judging by his going away triumph in 1:55.1 in Wednesday’s feature race at Red Shores Summerside.

Trainer Brian Andrew of Milton Station, PE did the driving for his partners, Blake Andrew of Montreal, QC and Bill Andrew of Calgary, AB. The five-year-old son of Camystic-Western Gift cruised on the lead through fractions of :28, :57.2 and 1:26 before drawing clear to win by 9-1/2 lengths as the even-money favourite in the $1,700 affair. It was the second consecutive tally for War Cry Ranger, who defeated Roccos Cavallo and Life Savior.

It was the third win of the season for the pacer and the 10th lifetime victory for the career winner of $149,645.

The action shifts to Charlottetown for the start of Old Home Week 2012 on Thursday. Post time is 7 p.m.
