Riccaras Sun has received morning line favourite status in the Saturday night feature event at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. Post time is 7 p.m. with customers from EPR in Saint John, Fredericton Raceway and the Moncton Teletheatre being able to watch and wager on the card

Owned by Ken MacInnis of Charlottetown, Riccaras Sun, trained by Trevor Hicken and driven by Terry Gallant, leaves from Post 4 in the power-packed field, which will face off in Race 11 on the card. BJ Cruiser, who pulled an impressive 1:58.1 upset in his last start, and San Marco Hanover, who finished second in a blistering 1:56.2 at Truro last week, are also included in the line-up.
Race Analyst Les MacIsaac has chosen CL Eighty as his top choice based on the fact that he simply ran out of steam after being parked to the opening quarter in his last event. Add Raging Leru, with charted miles in the 1:57 range, Instant Fantasy, who was third in 1:57.4 on July 24, and rail-sitter PH Super Dave, owned by Jack Keenan of Stratford and Joseph Dahl of Burlington, ON, and we could see some hot speed over an ultra-fast city oval.
